Black Screen booting up before login screen?

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a black screen booting up before the login screen, it takes a minute to go away but works fine afterwards. It greatly affects my bootup time on my pc (laptop).

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out,

 

As I understand the computer isn't booting into windows anymore,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: 

Did you run a hardware test to ensure there aren't any hardware failures as such?

Did you check with an alternate monitor to check if the screen blacks out on the other screen as well?

Have you reset the computer to release excessive static?

 

While you respond to that, The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

Black Screen booting up before login screen?

My computer boots into windows fine, the only thing is before the login screen there is a black screen that I can move my cursor around on that takes for ever to load, sometimes like 10 minutes to go away before it shows the login screen.
