Black Screen

Spectre x360

Hi,

when i turn on my spectre, i am able to login and then the screen stays totally black. I can see my cursor and move it around but I cant see anything on the screen. If I wait about 10 minutes, the screen magically appears. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? I've had this laptop for less than a month so there should'nt be any speed problems yet.

Black Screen

Hi Hallie98

Please check out this HP Forum link.

The OP has a similar problem. This problem occurs at cold boot, at restart from within Windows, and waking from sleep.

I recommended running boot diagnostics to check hardware and some other troubleshooting steps to try and find the cause of this issue.

The problem, as decribed in the above link, has not been resolved to date.

A different forum member may have a better solution.

Good luck. Hope you solve this annoying issue soon.

Black Screen

Hi

@dahawthorne

You are on point.

Check this thread with a solution using the same technique to solve this problem.

The App Readiness service seems to be causing a problem when updating to Windows 10 version 1703.
