Black screen- App Readiness fix did not work on my HP all-in-one

HP Pavillion all in one

Disabling the App Readiness didn't solve my problem.  I still have a black desktop.  It stays black and does not come on even after 10 min.  Any suggestions?

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. 

 

I understand that you have an HP Pavillion all in one PC. I read that the PC has a black display and does not come on even after 10 mins. You've done a remarkable job performing the steps. 

 

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:

  • Please let me know the exact PC model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
  • Is the screen visible before you login to your account in Windows?
  • Are you using Win10 operating system?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix: 

  • Power off the PC. You may have to press and hold the power button of the PC until it powers off.
  • Disconnect all cables and devices from the PC. Also, disconnect the power cable. 
  • Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. 
  • Now reconnect the keyboard, mouse and the power cable and power on the PC.

Finally, please perform a reset on the laptop if the display continues to be black then I suggest you reset the PC by following the steps mentioned under "Performing a push-button reset through Windows Recovery Environment" from this HP article.
