@Jaybolt -- it could be a corrupted file-system on your disk-drive.

 

Restart your computer.

When it crashes, restart your computer.

When it crashes, restart your computer.

When it crashes, restart your computer.

 

After 3 consecutive "failures", it should restart to the "Recovery" screen.

Use the available tools to try to "repair" the file-system.
