HP Pavilion Mini Desktop - 300-250np (ENERGY STAR)

Several times my HP pavilion Mini PC get stuck on Hp logo on black background without the rotating dots in circle below. So the desktop does not continue booting up. I tried calling the Bips diagnostics by pressing the esc, f2, f7, f10, etc including the bios recover win logo+rv keys but to no avail since even the bios do not continue to enter the menu.  Furhter search of the solution i found on You tube about opening the case and checking all the connections. Luckily  the mini pc only have two connectors, HDD and cmos. But while the case is open, the thermal paste is repaled and the cooling fan checked. Its clean not even dust accumulation. OK done. Now put the case back and boot the pc. It boots. so what is the problem. I just serendipitously made it boot up. But apparently, it is the cmos. unplugging the connector drain the static and re plugging it initiate the power into the motherboard then when power is on the boot sequence continue. What? I really dont know what iam talking about here. Myabe somebody could make sense.

What i don't like about HP is their lack of support for older generation product. The mini PC is ahead its time in 2015. There are more generic mini dektop in the market now that are sold with the same architecture. Maybe this might help others figure out their mini desk top next time it wont boot up. I saw on YOu Tube that this solution, (unplugging the cmos battery) solved the problem of other notebooks.
