Hi
Sadly, this requires buying a new HDD or SATA SSD, Or you may have a NVME M.2 boot drive. You need to know how HP has configured your PC's storage. HP PCs may have:
One HDD
One SATA SSD and one HDD
An Optane NVME M.2 drive (16 GB or 32 GB capacity) and one HDD
One NVME M.2 SSD and one HDD
Please provide a specific product number.
Check this link for tips to identify your product
Run HP Diagnostics. Start the PC. Repeatedly tap "ESC". Select "F2". Run all HDD tests.
Verify Diagnostics' detected drives equal the factory storage device configuration.
I would remove the failing drive, connect to a different PC as a data drive.
Back up data if the second host PC can mount the disk.
You will have to reinstall Windows after installing a new drive. Or HP may provide a Cloud Recovery option for your PC.
Please be advised the opinions in the preceding responses are my own. I am not employed by HP, Inc.
