OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-224

Hi I have a 870-224 and every time I press the power button it boots to the logo screen then nothing happens I’ve tried the f10 bios key and have no luck of getting anywhere also tried the hp diagnostic menu no luck getting there as well. No error message or beeps/beeping. Before I was able to get into the bios and then leave then it will boot up like nothing ever happened, but every time it gets turned off it doesn’t want to boot.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting no boot issues with your notebook, I am glad to assist you.

Some HP Notebook PCs come with two sticks of memory and have two memory slots. If you experience a black screen or blue screen with HP logo, the problem could be with one of the sticks of memory or with one of the memory slots.

To determine what is causing the failure, try to isolate the problem by:

Performing a memory self-test

Checking for loose memory modules

Testing the memory modules

Testing the memory slots
