I purchased a new HP desktop computer this year. Windows 11 is the OS. Can I safely keep it on 24/7  with no issues? I am assuming perhaps once a week to do a restart to check for updates.

@Theguttu,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

You can safely leave your desktop computer on, but it would be advisable to set your computer in "Sleep Mode" or "Hybrid Sleep Mode", say after an hour of inactivity.

You can read about these options here: https://www.windowscentral.com/hibernate-sleep-or-shut-down-whats-best-your-pc.

The one thing to worry about the aforementioned sleep modes are power outages.  That's why I would strongly recommend to consider hooking up your desktop to an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) such as this generic example: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Standby-UPS-600VA-Outlets/dp/B073Q48YGF/ref=sxts_rp_s_1_0?conten....

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
