Hello everyone, I have had a problem when trying to install a new windows on my HP pro book 440 G6. The UEFI boot does not register my usb stick, I read it has something to do with CSM but I cannot find that option in my bios settings.
I have the usb on top in the UEFI boot order and when I launched with the legacy order I got into the windows setup but I couldn’t proceed with choosing a disk to download it in because it said something about GPT.
the windows usb is FAT32. Please help I’m having a stroke. Thanks!

Hi @Castroble
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Your PC probably shipped with W10 using the GPT drive format.
W10 USB Legacy installation media will not see a GPT drive. You will also not get the UEFI boot option for the USB stick if the installation media can't see a GPT drive.
I can only guess the W10 USB media you created is limited to seeing MBR drives or you have a a BIOS setting problem.
Reset the BIOS to defaults.
The W10 installation media should support the GPT drive format if the installation media supports UEFI and GPT drives..
