590-p0050 is the model number Pavillion Desktop . I can see the dDV/CD rive in the Device manager. I put a dvd into the drive, I hear it reading it and it doesn't show the contents. Unless - I go to device manager, open the DVD/CD drive folder and click the only subfolder hp HLDS DVDRW GUD1N. Very strange. Then the DVD opens and I can see the contents. Thanks
