Hi, I have a fairly new desktop that fail boot up after power failure.
The m2 sata drive is found in the setup and its possible to run system check on the drive.
But shortly after startup it says there is no OS at the drive - but there is.
I can boot up on a USB stick with W10 and repair the boot sector.
The proceudre says it can't find any problem.
Anyway, the computer works after that - until next power failure.
Can someone help me out?
I suspect a hardware fault, and are afraid this fix not always will work.
Besides this is my oncle's computer and he lives 30 km away...
I have no extra m2 sata drive to test with...

Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
A power failure can mess up Windows and kill PC hardware.
How are you repairing the boot sector when you use W10 installation media? Are you doing a startup repair or using bootrec commands?
You are suggesting the PC works fine until the next power failure?
I would buy an UPS (Uninterruptible Power supply) if you have frequent AC power failures (Link).

Thanks Grzwacz for your answer.
I'm startup on the USB media and repair from there.
We just bought a UPS, and it worked at my home when I tested it.
But oncle managed to remove power before UPS told the computer to shutdown.
(UPS is controlling (should) the computer)
