Chromebook from school keeps shutting off when unplugged

Operating System: Chrome OS

The Chromebook that I got from my school keeps shutting off, almost like it's dead, when I unplug it. The current battery is at 94%, but still shuts off when I do the previously stated. I don't know what to do, and I'd rather not take it back to my school and go through all the hassle of that if there is a solution to fix it. Please help! Thanks. (:

Chromebooks issued by schools are specially configured -- so really, you have no choice other than to take it back to them and have them either repair it or replace it -- they will probably do the latter.
