Desktop Won't Boot Past HP Logo, Screen Turns Black - Please Help, I Have A Paper Due in 10 Hours

Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0020

Desktop: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0020

Age: I bought it brand new roughly 3 - 5 months ago, and I've hardly used it.

I'm in desperate need of help. I have a midterm paper due in 12 hours, and I can't use my desktop to do it. Every time I boot my HP desktop, it loads the HP logo and a loading circle and then turns into a black screen and that's it. The fans run, and the lights on the machine turn on and stay on. I've ran a fast test of the system hard drive and that showed that the computer was fine. I've also reset the machine and it seemed to be going well. I left to get food and when I came back it was back on the unresponsive black screen. Btw, there's no cursor on this black screen. I reset it a second time, and I got the same results. I can enter BIOS and all of the other menus.

I ran a start up repair and it said it couldn't repair my computer. It said the log file is /SRTtrail.txt if that means something. Someone please help. I've reformatted my computer twice to no success. I've also tested the hard drive and it works. I don't know what to do.

I to have the problem and have tried everything even having an expert look at the computer.  They fixed registry problems and said all of my data was still there.  When I brout it home, I had the same problem.

I ended up figuring out how to fix this. I used the HP tool to reformat the computer to factory settings and that fixed it. I'm unsure how I got to the HP tool, but it worked.
