My computer screen stays black. Won't start up. Sometimes it will briefly show screen but then stays black. No sound or anything m. Can see light on power button and in back where cord is. I've shut down computer unplugged from wall and monitor. Nothing works.

Hi 4misslady

Is your PC out of warranty? Contact HP if your PC is in warranty.

An unresponsive PC could have many causes. Failing components can vary from the external power supply to any component on the motherboard. Your PC is similar to a Laptop/Notebook. When one internal component fails you must replace the motherboard.

Have a local tech look at the system if your PC is not in warranty.

Diagnosing this problem is probably, not possible in a forum.
