Desktop startup stuck in logo with no lights on the keyboard

Pavilion Slimline Series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • My HP desktop was stuck with the logo during startup one day with no signs of problem before.  It was running for a few years without issues.  I found some basic resolutions from the internet but none are working.  Usually during boot up,  lights on the keyboard will lit up.  But there is no lights at all while being stuck with the logo during startup.

Desktop startup stuck in logo with no lights on the keyboard

@Ced33
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Before troubleshooting startup issues, remove or disconnect all discs and devices from the computer.

  • Step 1: Remove discs and devices
  • Step 2: Perform a hard reset
  • Step 3: Run hardware diagnostic tests
  • Step 4: Refresh or reset your PC. Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04718479 to complete the troubleshooting steps. By end of the article, you will be able to fix the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
