Ok so I bought a computer second hand.  When I purchased it it was working fine I brought it home and plugged it in and when I press the power button it sounds like it turns on the fan goes the green light in the back is on can hear it running green lights on the inside but the power button itself is not lit up and the monitor says no signal the mouse also has no light . Could it be in hibernation or something I don’t know I have unplug the power cord Pressed power button what am I doing wrong

Okay, the power supply has a solid green light. You hear startup sounds like fans, the HDD spinning up, and the optical drive initiating.

 

Check/reseat your video cable connections to the monitor and the back of the PC. Are you plugging the video cable into the correct video out port at the back of the PC? Some PCs have discrete graphics cards installed. On board graphics may not work when you have a discrete graphics card installed.
