Hi
Please provide more details. Do you recall any of the updates?
Windows Update has been pushing some problematic HP Firmware updates to users.
A boot device not found error could be a failing HDD/SSD. Run HP Diagnostics.
Start the PC. Tap "ESC".
Select "F2". Select component tests. Run HDD quick and extensive tests on both drives. It looks like you have a Intel Optane configuration, 16 GB M.2 SSD and a 1 TB HDD. The Optane module may have failed if you don't see this drive listed in the HDD test options.
I don't like Optane and have never used it. You may have to replace the Optane module. I would dump Optane. Buy a standard M.2 NVME drive. The BIOS would have to be set from IRST to AHCI.
The Optane module has the boot loader and caches most used data for speedy reads and writes.
You may have to remove the 1 TB platter HDD, connect to a different PC, then backup data. Then install a 500 GB or 1 TB M.2 NVME SSD. Install the operating system on the new SSD and don't connect the platter HDD until Windows has been installed on the M.2 drive.
Reconnect the HDD. Use the platter HDD as a data drive.

Hi
I can't offer anything else. A local PC tech should be able to diagnose and repair the problem.
The problem has been either caused by a faulty Windows update or you have a coincidental Optane drive failure.
Check if diagnostics detects the 16 GB Optane drive.
Start the PC. Tap "ESC". Select "F10" to enter system setup. Check Storage menu in BIOS to see if both drives are detected. Or look in Advanced Settings, System Options for Optane configuration settings.
IRST must be off in both the OS and the BIOS to attempt booting from the 1 TB HDD. You can't mount this disk in Windows. So you may have to do a clean Windows installation using a new NVME SSD or back up data and install Windows to the 1 TB HDD.
