HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-126
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 6 year-old unit appears to be dead following a single use of its ON/OFF switch.  Power light on rear of desktop is ON,  Power switch does NOT light up, no fan sounds ... dead.  Does my unit have a CMOS battery, and if so, is it a 2302?  Apart from a flakey/bad power supply and/or ON/OFF switch, what else could be going on here?

Hi:

 

Your PC does have a CMOS battery but if that was dead, you should be able to still power on the PC.

 

You can see the location of the CR2032 CMOS battery in the illustration at the link below, bottom right corner of the picture.
