Trying to reset HP steam laptop but I don't know Administrator password....

You can't reset a Stream laptop because there is insufficient internal disk space to hold the files needed to do that.  If you FORCE  a reset you will only trash the laptop, rendering it unusable.

 

If you are being asked for an Admin Password simply to login to Windows, we can't help you with that as we have no way to verify ownership of the computer.

As our expert @WAWood mentioned, according to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs nor any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region. 


For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.
