Hi, I have an Elitedesk G3. It doesn't turn on instantly when I press the power button. The HDD light and power indicator lights blink as I press the button, but it doesn't turn on. No fan noise heard. It takes another press or a long press upto 1-2s to get it started
It applies only when I want to turn my PC on. It shuts down instantly in a single "tap" on the power button while the pc is running 😂 What might be the cause?

Newer desktops are configured to go into a hybrid sleep state when you press the power button. So, when you press again, you are basically waking it up and it comes on instantly, or nearly so.
But when you power it completely off and restart, it has to go through hardware startup, which even with the fastest hardware today, takes a while.
What you can try is going into the settings and changing the power options so the PC shuts down completely when you press the power button.

Thanks for your reply. My problem isn't a faster startup. I have to double press or long press the power button sometimes.
Case 1:
- When pressing the power button, white light appears on power button and the hdd indicator. When release the power button, both turns off without booting
- If power button pressed again, PC boots normally.
Case 2:
- Same as point 1 in case 1.
- If long pressed, PC boots.
Sometimes it boots normally in a single press.
PC shuts down immediately in a single press of power button during running.

When you press the power button the second time, that is apparently turning off the PC; The first press just puts it to sleep.
If you disable sleep, the pressing the power button should act the same every time and it should completely start up the PC every time.
