All in one (24-b229la)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I created the recovery media from HP Cloud Recovery tool. Before I checked if my model (X6B15AA#ABM) was supported and it was (http://support.hp.cloud-recovery.s3-website-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/). Also when creating it, my model was automatically detected so I didn't make any change on that.

The problem is when I start the restore process I'm getting this error:

Component: Windows 10 PIN Diagnostic Tools Red - CPS

Timing: FactoryUpdate

Error: Incorrect brand name [Unknown]

Expected Brand name from FB [Pavilion]

Next Step: Please check Model Name or Feature Byte

What can I do?

Hi:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with why the HP cloud recovery tool isn't working, but you can at least get your PC working again by making bootable Windows 10 installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

Where you see the same driver listed for AMD or Intel, select the AMD drivers.  You do not use any of the Intel drivers.
