My computer was working just fine and now it is getting no power at all. I do leave it own and hardly ever turn it off but it’s not in consistent use.

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your PC is about seven years old.

You have a hardware problem if the PC shows no signs of life: (startup sounds, chassis' LEDS, or fans spinning) when you depress the power button.

Troubleshooting components requires replacement parts. The bad part could be the power supply, any component connected to the MB, or the MB.

I would have a local PC Tech take a look if you want to try a fix. The Tech could swap in parts to find the bad component.

I was able to fix it by doing a bios reboot. There is an internal small circular battery that I took out for for 30 seconds and then put it back in and it came right on.

That was a quick and easy fix.

I usually suggest to remove and reseat the CR2032 MB battery or to replace the MB battery to reset CMOS.

The one time I don't suggest this turns out to be the fix.

Good work!
