HP ENVY Desktop - 700-527c
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have power to the power supply as evidenced by the LED directly below the power cord but I have no indication of power anywhere else.  LEDs, fans, etc. are not powered up.  The computer shut down when unattended .  Power switch has no effect.  I replaced the power supply with no result.  Not sure where to go from here.  Any ideas?  Thanks

hi

If you have already replaced the power supply, it could be the motherboard, some component
It will be difficult to identify without having enough to test everything
I advise you to go to a professional
You can, try, leaving only the main
remove the graphics card, if the computer can work without
a memory module, if there are two
check all the connectors, look closely on the motherboard, if not a burned, swollen place...

As I suspected.  I will try to disconnect all attached devices and see if I get anywhere.  I am curious if you think the processor could be part of the problem.  Powering up the computer produced lights/fans immediately and it would seem before the processor could enter the equation.  Your thoughts?

first :

"below the power cord but I have no indication of power anywhere else. LEDs, fans, etc. are not powered up. The computer shut down when unattended "

and
