Product: 8300 elite cmt

HP 8300 2.99 BIOS needs an update for PCIE NVME drives, there is no boot option for PCIE drive, only 3rd party hacks that may damage bios and only can be done on later versions of windows, spent days tring  clover and it wont work , might have something to do with a programming mode bios plug on the mother board on these machines. it will run as a secondary drive but not a boot drive .

If this has a Legacy BIOS, then you are out of luck -- as HP does not update those to add NVME boot capabilties, since that is included standard in UEFI BIOS versions.
