HP All-in-One 24-f0137c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New computer out of the box, when I turn it on, it makes "whirling" sound while in operation.  It may speed up or slow down depending on what I am doing.  Ran the diagnostic on the hard drive and it passed.  Not sure if anything can be done about the sound or if this is normal.

Any suggestions or what can I do about the sound?  It's a bit distracting.

Thank you

It'll be the CPU fan. Sometimes is can be a noisy/faulty fan, sometimes even a slight warp in the chassis can make the fan noisier. Generally it's normal to hear something, but it shouldn't drive you to distraction.

If it's brand new, I would get in touch with HP and log a warranty call for someone to come & have a look and make a determination .
