HP All-in one desktop does not shut down completely or wake from sleep

24-b037c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a frustrating problem I have facted since February this year. I have to press the poer button for > 5s to forcefully turn off the computer and disable the sleep function on my desktop. I have updates windows, HP drivers, enabled my keyboard, updated my BIOS and tried all the hacks listed on the HP website and no avail. I see multiple people have had this problem - has anything worked for anyone?

Within Device Manager, select the keyboard, and remove the option to allow the motherboard to power-down the keyboard, when sleeping.  Ditto for the mouse.

Or, does a light "tap" on the ON/OFF button "wake" the computer?

Unfortunately, that option is greyed out in the window.

Does a light "tap" on the ON/OFF button "wake" the computer from "sleep" mode?
