I have a HP Compaq 8000 Elite mini-desktop computer and replaced the MB.  after booting up I get 4 beeping sounds that repeats it cycle over and over until I tuen the computer off.  Any ideas on what causes this.

Hi, Bill:

 

4 beeps are indicating a power supply issue of some kind, or the motherboard you just installed is NG.

Please try it based on the steps below

1. Check all cables if they are connected to the right position and pull/insert these cables again.

2. Check the dip swich if they are the same as the old motherboards.

3. Reseating all memory modules.
