HP ENVY All-in-One - 32-a1001na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi all.

Had this HP ENVY All-in-One - 32-a1001na for about 1 year now, recently I've been trying to use it to move/edit files a bit more...

I'm getting constant freezes (typically in windows explorer) etc when moving files around, the fans go crazy inside.  This mostly results in me having to reboot the machine.

All drives and bios are up to date...

PLEASE help, what is going wrong here...  I've read this all in one is prone to overheating issues?  Could this be the case here?   thanks for any help you can provide...

Do I have any recourse with HP, I should have as quite honestly its not performing this simplest of file management tasks...??

I assume you have been blowing dust out periodically.

General tips here https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00292159

For an AIO there are additional problems https://superuser.com/questions/811110/dusting-inside-all-in-one-computer

Please read the following and try my suggestion about setting processor power to the 0 and 50 as described.

speedfan is an excellent tool to diagnose disk drive problems.  Please reads this thread to see the difference between HP diags and speedfan diags
