Please help.  What should I do?

PC does not boot.

Restore system file:  fail

Hard Drive Quick Test:

Hard Drive SMART Check: PASSED.

Hard Drive Short DST Check: FAILED.

Hi:

The error code reported, Hard drive short DST check: failed, means the hard drive needs to be replaced, and the operating system reinstalled.

I cannot find a service manual or video disassembly guide for your PC.

Thanks for the recommendation.  It looks very obvious that hard drive fail, replace it.  Thought there is a better solution.  Replacing hard drive is no problem but have to buy OS Windows 10 is an additional cost.

There is no need to buy W10, since you had previously upgraded to it.

You can reinstall it for free as follows...

Create bootable installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

W10 should install the drivers you need, but I think the audio may not work.

If it doesn't use this driver and restart the PC after installing it.
