Hello!
Thank you for looking at this post!
I've had a PC for a number of years that was recently replaced but my older PC (This one in question - HP Envy 23 Touchsmart AiO PC (23-d165ea)) has decided to die on me.
When I say 'die' I mean, when the power button is hit, the fans spin up and that's about it.
This is a more detailed diagnostic I've done;
- PC DOES power on.
- PC DOES NOT post / boot into Windows
- PC DOES NOT post / boot past the BIOS
- The PC DOES NOT seem to allow me access to the BIOS.
- The PC power DOES NOT hold up. I.e a Keyboard is plugged in, it will blink the lights and go off, same with a mouse.
- The PC HAS been completly stripped down, and put back together which brought up a keyboard / drive menu and was visable but COULDN'T get it to happen again after stripping it down again.
- The CPU HAS been re-seated along with Memory / CMOS.
- A power reset HAS been done multiple times.
- All the cables have been reseated in the event of a problem on that front.
- A drive HAS been put into the system and a network cable to see if I could remote desktop into the PC, but never got a connection / lights were not flashing on the etherenet port.
Any advice would be good as I'd like to get this working even though it might never be in a working state again. Saying this, I'm also quite technical so any questions / information you need from me on that front I'm more than happy to provide.
Thanks in advance,
- Charlie
