I have an HP Envy 700-056 that was given to me.There is no HP software o the computer, no recovery manager, none of the included software. It is running Windows 8.1 64 bit. It is fully updated. The last few times I have turned it on, it has taken a long, long time to boot up. More than 10 minutes, as long as 15. I have tried undoing all peripherals, no mouse, keyboard or printer, and it makes no difference. It still is the same way, slow, slow. I have not installed any new software or anything in over 6 months. I am at a loss on what could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hi
as we don't know everything about what has or has not been done with this computer, I would give you a suggestion to start with, it's up to you
We could offer you different manipulations, tests, etc.
but see the configuration here, you would only have a 2 tb hdd
Which is already enough to have problems
So try if you want, an SSD disk, where you will install windows 10 (should still be possible for free), much better than w 8
