Just purchased an HP Envy Desktop 750-514. When it boots up, I see the HP logo, then the Windows 10 login screen. After entering password, the screen goes blank. However, the mouse cursor still shows and is controllable. Ctrl-Alt-Delete allows me to start task manager. It shows no apps or processes are hogging all the resources (i.e. - everything should be working fine). Sometimes, the after poking around in task manager, Windows will finish the login process and the tool bar will show, and everything is normal. This is extremely frustrating. Any suggestions?

Run the HP Support Assistant and see if it picks up the HP fix for the issue. HP has been a little slow in getting the fix out as it doesn't affect every PC. This fix may or may not solve your problem.
"Extremely frustrating" is all too common on this forum.:smileywink:
