HP Envy Recline 23 - Silent Treatment

Hey Everyone, I have a HP Envy Recline 23 that was given to me that will not boot or power up or anything. There seems to be absolutly no life.

 

I see there is a small LED neer the power supply socket on the base / stand. Does anyone know if that lights up when the power adapter is plugged in or does it only light up when the system is on?

 

Power adapter tests good at 19.5v. If I plug it in to the computer and try to power on the system, then unplug the power adapter and test it again it tests as under 1 volt like it has tripped some sort of circuit protection.

 

I had bought a replacement power adapter and it acts the same way.

 

Motherboard?

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting no power issue on HP Envy Recline 23. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

 

1. Shut down the computer.

3. Reconnect the computers cables, being sure that the connection from the AC adapter to the computer and the connection from the AC adapter to the AC outlet are secure.

4. Try to turn on the computer.

  ● If the power lights turn on, the AC adapter is working properly.

  ● If the connections are secure and the power lights remain off, the AC adapter is not functioning and should be replaced.

 

If the issue persists I request you to contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

As you have already tried these steps and still having the issue, I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support for further assistance. If your product is Out of warranty then remember to choose the paid options to get the tech support number.

 

They might have multiple options to help you on this.

 

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.
