OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000a (4E977AV)

Hi,

I got my new OMEN 45L delivered last week. It came with 2 SSD's and WIN 11:

C:   WD_BLACK Gen4 SDCPNRY-1T00-1106

😧   WD_BLACK Gen4 SDCPNRZ-2T00-1106

 

Whenever I shut-down the PC and start it again, the 2nd SSD (drive D:) is not recognized. It's not visible in WIN, HP PC Hardware Diagnostic or in the BIOS.

I installed every update so far. BIOS version is F.12 from 05/11/2022. Windows version is 21H2.

 

What I experienced so far is:

- whenever I shut-down the computer and start it again, the 2nd SSD is not recognized by the system

- if I do a restart out of windows, the 2nd SSD is recognized without a problem 

- when doing a restart out of windows, the fan lights doesn't switch off, might be there is an issue while booting from scratch or a lack of power

 

I was running all kind of system tests offered in the HP Hardware Diagnostics programm and no issue was detected.

 

Does anybody have an idea what the reason could be and how to solve it?

return to seller, if still possible, or contact HP warranty support
