OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000a (4E977AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I purchased a new HP Omen 45L from Swedish electronic store - hardly a month old paid a pretty hefty amount!

It suddenly stopped working, it keeps taking me to the bitlocker screen and asks to enter key. I logged in my MS account and entered the bitlocker key. I tried to reset the computer but it giving an error like fle:F:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt. It is unsuccessful in resetting the pc in any option i try.

I also tried to download the cloud recovery tool and it says product ID invalid, i enter product id and serial number tried with both but it says contact hp support.

This is extremely unfortunate experience for a significantly expensive product.

Has anyone faced this and was able to resolve? Its under warranty but its a pain to go through the grind...this sucks..

I've been dealing with the same thing. Go to https://pureinfotech.com/rufus-create-bootable-windows-11-usb/ and hopefully this helps you. I got an error about media device drivers, make sure you're in a USB 2.0 port (USB 3.0 should be blue so don't use those ones). That should let you reset the device. After reinstalling windows go to your bit locker settings and you can either disable it or manually backup the key to a file, to your Microsoft account, to a flash drive, or print it.
I'm the Sysadmin for HP in the US but I work with primarily enterprise devices that have an actually useful BIOS so if that doesn't work just return it or call them directly. [content removed] is the number for the UK. Sweden's support site is down so no help there unfortunately.
