HP Omen will boot up but nothing else

Hey everyone, 

So my situation is this: I updated my Nvidia drivers so I would stop getting the notification from starting up MW. Updated them, tried pulling open my battle.net launcher, was just a white screen. Figured I'd reset the computer and hope that would solve it. Made the comp restart, but when it restarted, there is a flash of white light from the tower and the fans will kick on but that's it. My mouse and keyboard aren't being registered (they don't light up). The no signal goes away from my monitor but it's just a black screen.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@Salithos Have you attempted to connect the device to an alternate power cord or adapter?

Or check with another wall outlet, excluding any surge protectors to check if it works?

Let's start with a hard reset of your notebook computer before you try any other troubleshooting steps.

 

Reasons for a hard reset

A hard reset has the following effects:

  • Clears the memory.

  • Reestablishes the connection between the BIOS and the hardware

The following conditions can be helped by the hard reset:

  • Windows stop responding.

  • The display suddenly goes blank.

  • The computer does not wake from sleep or hibernate modes.

  • Software applications freeze or fail to respond.
