TG01-0023w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently purchased a new HP Pavilion TG01-0023w.  Took it out of the box and it will not power up - no lights come on, no fans spin.  Tried a different cable and outlet.  Checked the warranty status and it expired a week before I purchased it.  Opened a case (5072551675) to dispute the warranty and supplied my purchase receipt from retailer on the 15th.  Still open and no contact.  Can't call support because it's out of warranty and it wants me to pay to talk to a person.  Suggestions outside of just returning it and buying something else?  How long should the dispute take?

@cmp2021 -- since it just came out of the original box, take it back to the store that sold it to you, along with the sales-receipt. They should repair/exchange it, at no cost to you.

Also, after you pay the fee, and HP looks at the purchase-date (not the date it was manufactured), HP should refund the fee.

If you were able to power-on and use the computer, and "register" it with HP, that should change the start-of-warranty date to today's date, instead of the date it was manufactured.

Or, some power-supplies have a "rocker-switch". Rock that switch to the "on" position.
