Product: Pavilion PC570
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

the Pavilion pc570 occasionally loses response from keyboard and mouse.  also fails to wake from sleep mode.  requires hard reboot.  the number light on keyboard will go out by itself and no response from then on.  power off to correct.  Has anyone experienced this problem?  thanks

Welcome back to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

This type of behavior is usually caused by flaky hardware or corrupt system files.

 

Run HP Diagnostics.

 

Tap "ESC" at system startup. Then select "F2".

 

Run System Tests. Possible RAM or HDD problems can cause this stuff.

 

Run the Windows System File Checker (Link).

 

Run the DISM and SFC commands at the command prompt as an administrator.

thanks.  the problem is very intermittent so it may take a few months to realize it's repaired...
