HP Pavilion Startup Issues (Windows 10)

My problem is a pretty common problem, that I’ve seen all around. My PC is pretty new (got it 9/26/2019) , and all of a sudden I began having these issues. I unplugged my computer (removed my entire AC cord) a few days back, and yesterday I plugged it all back up then i began getting:

Boot Device Not Found

Please install an operating system on your Hard Drive

Hard disk - (3F0)

F2 - System diagnostics

I’ve visited the site, but had no luck there, nothing is working. I disassembled my computer and removed my hard drive and then put it back in, and it still did not work. I’ve ran the Memory Test, and Hard Srive checks (Extensive and quick) and everything comes back as passed.

Can anyone help?

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer since all the hardware passed the tests (not always a 100% guarantee the HDD isn't bad), would be to try clean installing W10.

Somehow the operating system may have been lost or corrupted, and the PC is looking for a device to boot from.

Here is how to clean install W10 for free...

You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...

Select Download tool now, and select Run.If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.

On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.

Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.

Select which media you want to use:

USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.

After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

If that still doesn't get the PC to work, the next step would be to replace the hard drive.

I am not too sure on how to do the USB, is there anything I can do besides with a USB?

If you have a PC with a DVD burner, you can download the W10 ISO file instead, and use the utility that I zipped up and attached below to transfer the ISO file to a DVD so that it is bootable.

In order to boot from the DVD drive on your PC, you will have to change two BIOS settings...enable Legacy Mode and disable Secure Boot.
