Pavilion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Pavilion desktop computer shut down for no reason and will not power up.  Green light on the back is on.  I have tried disconnecting power cord from the computer and from the wall, waiting 10 second and then reconnecting.  Nothing.  I cannot do a hard reset because there is no power to the unit.  Please advise.

@MarthaW1 -- it is probable that the power-supply has failed.

Take your computer to a local owner/operator computer shop. They will open-up your computer, and temporarily connect a compatible power-supply. If your computer now works, buy the power-supply, and be proud for "buying local" to support a local business.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that your HP desktop is not working correctly. If you have already performed the steps from the document HP PCs - Computer does not start: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01997899 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your computer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hope this helps!
