Pavilion p6347c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP pavilion and I left it sitting for a few months. when I came back to turn it on I heard 2 beeping noises. one short on long. I opened the desktop and found lots of dust. I took out all the cables and I cleaned all the dust then put in all the cables again. I then reseated the ram and started it up and the same thing happened. no display and 2 beeps. I then tried each ram stick individually in each slot separately but still nothing I have purchased a new stick of ram to fix the problem but I just wanted confirmation just in case I need to cancel or return the ram to the website. thank you for your help if you help me and please answer within a week from this post if possible

@Hudsen

For desktops, this HP thread describes the different blink and beep codes: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

Hello
the code indicates a ram memory problem
if you have two modules, and neither works it could be something else
Modules may need to be replaced, but not worth buying back.
the best for you is to have the computer tested, try it at a specialist, or find a compatible model, it must be the right one, otherwise, it is useless
If a compatible model does not work, the motherboard may be damaged
