HP ProDesk 400 G4 mini
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

We have purchased a lot of HP ProDesk 400 G4 mini pc's for our customers in 2019 and 2020 and many of the 400 G4 mini pc's become unresponsive after the monitor is turned off by Windows 10. The power light stays on but no display and no network. The mini pc's won't wake up. Only solution is to press and hold the power button.

We tried different drivers, newest bios, newest firmware updates, disabled energy-saving options for NIC, etc. but without any luck. HP driver/firmware check shows no updates available. The first thing we do with a new mini is a clean with a USB stick with the latest Windows 10 Pro build. Sometimes we download and install drivers from the HP and Intel websites, but normally most hardware is found and updated by Windows 10. We use this method for years without any problems.

No problems with the newers 400 G5 mini version and no problems with the older mini models.

Log files have been uploaded to HP but no solution yet. I found a similar post but no solution.
