HP WIN10 Doesn't Ask For Password

At the screen (picture) normally I would click the mouse or tap enter and the PC would ask for the password.  Now when you do that the screen just fades and never asks for anything.

On Win10 PCs, the password box only stays on screen for a short period of time.  If you walk away, it will fade from the screen.

But if you then re-click the screen, it will reappear.

Are you saying it does not come back?

I fixed it.  Had to do a recovery.  Lost files.

The machine was hung up at the point of password entry.

The recovery process wanted a CD (which I had) but it only held 700mb.  Needed 2G

Is there a 2G CD?
