HP Z1 Workstation wont power up

HP Z1
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The Hp Z1 that we have here at work will not power up.  The LED lights are blue and turn on...then off.  over and over and over....turn on then off....

I purchased a new power supply and tried that....same result.  no screen show up...almost like no bios even gets shown.

pulled battery for cmos on board...no change...

reset bios...no change

pulled ram no change..

nothing plugged in...still turns on...then off...no screen.

I'm hoping that there isnt a problem with the bios/cmos at this point I can't find out why this will not turn on and stay on.

It is not the power-supply, unless your replacement is as bad as the original.

I really doubt that it is the BIOS, nor the BIOS settings.

It could be a failed graphics card.

It could be the processor.

It could be the motherboard.

It could be the RAM.

It is easy to test the RAM in some other computer.

It is simple to try a different graphics card.

It's more difficult to remove the processor, and then try the processor on a different motherboard, or to find a compatible processor, and try it in your motherboard.

It's way more difficult to find a different motherboard.
