Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I've been using my HP Z620 for years and I'm more than satisfied with it. An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is installed in my workstation. A few days ago I connected an ASUS ProArt PA279CRV (4K UHD) to the corresponding DP and at boot post the system stops flashing red 6 times. No display on the monitor.

If the monitor is connected with an HDMI cable, the post and boot process runs as usual.

Since I get added value from using the DP, I looked around on the internet and NVIDIA has released new firmware for all graphics cards that support DP, which specifies the DP as version 1.3, 1.4.

So updated the card's firmware and rebooted. Bingo. No more errors during the post process. Everything runs smoothly with the DP output connected.

So if people have problems with NVIDIA cards and HP Z620 with a 4K monitor connected to a DP, first update the BIOS of your graphics card.
