The computer was working perfectly.  Plugged into a surge protector.  Went to put the power on & it does nothing.  Have tried various recommendations - holding power button, unplugging everything - still nothing.  Is there anything else to try?  The computer is several years old believe it came with Windows vista - not sure if I should bring it in someplace - probably not worth it to pay for them.  Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thanking you in advance.  Outlet works fine.

Windows Vista has not been supported by Microsoft, for several years.

Its follow-up,  Windows 7,  is no longer supported by Microsoft, since January 2020.

Microsoft allows users of Windows 7 and Windows 8 to have a free upgrade to Windows 10, but Microsoft does not make that offer to users of Windows Vista.

So, other than physically removing the disk-drive, and attaching it as a "secondary" disk-drive in a brand-new computer, for a one-time "copy" of all your files onto the new computer's disk-drive, take your computer to some "end-of-life" recycling station.
