Hello fellow HP users, i have a problem with my computer HP elitedesk 490 g3 mt it wont boot. Not even a bios screen i can only hear 3 long beeps and 4 short ones. Also the white and the red light blink in the front of the computer

The beep  codes indicate a power problem

3.4 The system board displays a power failure (crowbar).*

Error cods are on page 59

 

Either the power supply failed or the motherboard is drawing more  power than it should due to a component failure.

 

Do not buy a new power adapter:  Take to repair show or dealer that sells replacement power adapter and see if a new adapter works and if so, then buy it. 

 

If the same problem then the motherboard has failed. Post back here if the power adapter is not the problem.
