Hi @Franksunbury

I don't do much Laptop/Notebook assistance but thought HP provides the option to create bootable USB BIOS installation media for most portable HP PCs.

Are you downloading This BIOS update? Then run the installer. You should get an option to create USB media.

Just tried this on a custom built Desktop PC. Got the option to create USB boot media.

You may have a problem that a USB BIOS recovery drive may not be able to fix if the PC has no video and you have no USB function. I would contact HP Support if in warranty or have a local PC tech take a look.

Try the USB BIOS recovery procedure to see what happens.
