In my possession is an HP Chromebook, and I've never been more disappointed in a product. To begin with, the price of the Chromebook is exorbitant for what it offers. For the same price, one can acquire a superior PC with more powerful components and advanced technology. Furthermore, I primarily used my Chromebook for work on projects and school assignments, so I didn't require significant computing power. Unfortunately, even for small projects, it struggled to perform adequately.
To provide context, after a week of working on a university project worth a substantial portion of my grade, disaster struck. Two days before the submission deadline, I woke up to continue my project only to discover that the PC had decided to undergo a powerwash of the entire system to accommodate a massive update. This update's primary feature? The addition of a setting to change the cursor size. In summary, all my hard work was erased just to have fancy cursors on the Chromebook. Instances like this are all too common.
In conclusion, never consider buying an HP Chromebook or HP product or anything running ChromeOS. It stands as one of the most significant scams ever witnessed in the tech market. Save yourself the frustration and invest in a more reliable and reasonably priced device with superior performance.
Post scriptum: In my ongoing saga with the HP Chromebook, I recently discovered that the small application responsible for the fancy cursors, which triggered the disastrous update erasing my work, has been removed. Adding insult to injury, the HP support team has proven unhelpful in resolving this issue. As an IT professional, I want to make it clear that my disappointment in HP's product is not due to any lack of technical understanding on my part. I have diligently contacted support from every available channel, leaving a detailed report with both HP and Google, in an effort to shed light on the extent of the problem. I recommend to everybody who is searching for a computer to avoid hp and chrome products check out dealabs.com they have soe good stuf.
