Hard drive

it is a sata drive,  a world standard, its not alien or cust to HP at all, if you read the lid on the bad one youd see

hp did not make it.

in fact upgrading to SSD now is a super good idea, when you see the PC 10x more responsive , you will NEVER look back to motor spun hdd drives again.

the hdd there now is  3.5" drive. a destop drive.

they come in vast differents sizes, only you how much extra space you need,

1: I live inside  IE (browsers all day)

2: i do huge video editing,,  oops, you do need lots of space.

p2-1120

6 years old, 2011 made

it came new with a 500 Gigbyte Hard drive, HDD.  base options, see list below for all offered new by HP.

so why not pop in a new 1TB drive for 50 bucks,

I run 2 of these i my RAID drive setup on my HP video server,  in mirror mode.

you do know the OS needs to be loaded from scratch, if the old one is bad, right?  (you never said that)

i just bought 2 more.

all these below  are now old models,  get a new model Sata drive. above.
